未來，回自根源

三十年來，樹火紀念紙博物館靜靜守護著紙的本質，如同一座沉潛的燈塔，映照材料的源頭，以及尚待展開的未來。

七年前，樹火的另一半——FENKO 鳳嬌催化室——啟程遠行，將紙的疆界由承載書寫的平面，推向身體與空間，使之成為可穿戴、可居住，並能與科技與感官對話的當代表現媒介。

在樹火三十週年的此刻，鳳嬌歸根。這場展覽既是回返，也是新生：不僅象徵鳳嬌的回家策展，更意味樹火的再出發——在傳統與當代的交會中，為下一個三十年開展方向。

然而，「歸根」不僅僅是回到起點，更是一種「還原」的過程：從內在的自省，延展至空間與視覺的重構，回到本體、回到原始。在此，過去、現在與未來並非分離的片段，而是共存、交織的紋理，彼此映照，成就更深層的時間意識。

紙紗的誕生正是循環的隱喻：突破紙張的脆弱印象，卻又順應自然，最終降解入土，化作養分，孕育新生。「歸根」於是成為一場再定位與重生，更是鳳嬌的未來宣言——紙不再侷限於「一張」，而將延展為物件與生活語境，持續綻放自然材質的可能。

選在樹火，是歸返，也是啟程。

Re/Rooting — Suho 30
The Future is Ancestral

For thirty years, the Suho Paper Memorial Museum has quietly preserved the essence of paper—a still beacon illuminating its origins and the futures it may yet unfold.

Seven years ago, its counterpart, FENKO Catalysis Chamber, set paper in motion—beyond the page and into body, space, and light—recasting it as a living material in dialogue with technology and the senses.

At Suho’s thirtieth year, FENKO returns. Re/Rooting marks both homecoming and renewal: a convergence of tradition and contemporaneity that signals Suho’s new departure for the decades ahead.

To re-root is not to look back, but to restore. It begins within, extends into space, and reveals that past, present, and future coexist—woven into the same continuous fabric of time.

Paper yarn embodies this cycle: shedding fragility for strength, yet returning to soil in quiet dissolution. Through it, Re/Rooting becomes a meditation on rebirth—paper no longer bound to the sheet, but expanding into object, gesture, and life itself.

鳳嬌催化室 簡介

 

鳳嬌是一間以自然材質為反應物、創意⼈為催化劑，發酵各種想法、物件與空間設計的實驗室。我們擁有樹火深根多年的紙文化底蘊，卻也擁抱各種開放性的可能；從紙開始，但不止於紙。我們相信時間、空間、纖維、自然萬物、你我的天賦、經驗、專業、概念和行動都可以在我們所構築的場域（催化室）中化為靈感、創造、潮流和洞見。在全球化跨界共生的趨勢中創造材質的未知與未來。 催化進行中，未來尚未來，鳳嬌現在還不急著定義自己。

 

Fenko is a Catalysis Chamber for behaviors, materials, and people. （We have Suho's foundation of paper culture accumulated over the years, but also embrace a wide range of possibilities. Starting from paper but not stopping at paper. ）We believe that time, space, fibers, all things in nature, our gifts, experiences, expertise, concepts, and actions can be transformed into inspiration, creation, trends, and insights in the field (Catalysis Chamber) we created. With the global trend of cross domain co-existence, we will create the unknown and future of materials. Catalysis is still ongoing and the future has yet to arrive. Fenko is not in a hurry to define itself.
