面影(Omokage)源自日文,Omo是指「臉」,Kage則是「影」,面影意喻著靈魂之影像或是遺痕。由12層台灣紙所組成的面影面具,每一層紙隱喻著每一個月的樹之記憶。

此次策展概念源自於樹火紀念紙博物館的歷史,「紙」其實是第一種承載記憶的外部載具。但如今大部分的人們透過網路,將記憶上傳融合於巨大的線上儲存裝置,例如將家族照片上傳到網路。戴著紙面具是一種同步個人記憶於森林中的實驗;想像你所站立之處,曾有一片森林,而戴著面具於其中跳舞,不僅是一種身體、五感與自然共鳴的過程,也是另一種保存個人識別性的方式。透過開幕的舞蹈表演,我們將會創造一種循環與韻律,如同共存於一個部落,不再被文化及政治疆界分割或定義,我們都將被連結到同一片森林。(譯自藝術家之展述)

                                                                                                                                                            
 

藝術家簡介:

MIKI TADAIMA KADOKURA 門倉未來藝術總監及概念創造者。

出生於1979年,以柏林及東京為基地。

過去合作的對象包括世界各地的企業經營者、當代藝術家、時尚設計師、建築師、學術研究者及出版社。

 

 


Omokage

The Omokage mask has 12 layers of Taiwanese papers which represents    12 months memory of a tree. Omo-kage is the Japanese word which means a vestige or an image of somebody not existing here.‘Omo’means a face.‘Kage’ means a shadow. The history of this paper museum brought this word to the exhibition concept. The paper is one of the first an external storage devices. Once most of the human beings became connected to the internet, we started fusing our memory into the gigantic online storage, the internet. Wearing this mask is a trial for synchronising our memory to the forest like uploading our family photographs. Dancing with this mask is a process to resonate your body and sense to nature which is an alternative way to save your identity data. Imagine, once there was a forest here and you are here now. The opening performance and making mask ceremony will be open to the audience. We create a circle and a rhythm as one tribe. Which is not divided or defined by any cultural and political borders but connected to the same forest.
